Virtual Escapes AS, founded in Norway at the start of 2019, is a startup with big ambitions. Building experiences and applications for both virtual reality and handheld devices with a focus on providing high-quality user experiences to make life easier, smarter, and more fun.
Meja Foss
After working as an artist on the popular Burnout franchise, Meja Foss left Electronic Arts in 2008 to found Escapist Games in the UK where she created Star Chart, the popular augmented-reality star gazing and astronomical app for iPhone and Android. Now available on VR as well as a plethora of other devices, it has been downloaded across the world over 30 million times.
Mildrid Djupvik
A graduate of The Royal College of Art in London, Mildrid Djupvik has worked in various design roles, primarily visual merchandising and commercial graphic design. Now back in her home country of Norway, Mildrid is busy making everything Virtual Escapes produces look beautiful.
